Daniela Soto-Innes moved to the US from Mexico at the age of 12 and landed her first internship at the age of 14, at a hotel in Houston The kitchens she grew up in were male-dominated and unpleasant, a culture she wanted to change when she took charge of her first kitchen, Cosme in New York. She created a happy, party-like atmosphere with music and dancing. It’s something her grandmother taught her, “food tastes better if you put love and joy into it.
