“[Food] creates nostalgia and shared remembrances of departed family – when we get together and enjoy these foods it encourages us to tell stories about our shared past and experiences.”

Marquietta, affectionately known as “Mimi,” joined MG in 2022 as the Retail Supervisor at Bullis School. In her role, she manages the café and concessions at BSMD while also co-supervising the dining room. Mimi treasures quality time with family, connecting with friends, and embracing a healthy lifestyle.

“When I first started at MG, I didn’t know much about other cultures’ foods. I’ve learned so much eating with and learning from my co-workers about what foods they enjoy and how they prepare them. I didn’t realize how much diversity existed in cuisine across cultures prior to my time at MG.”
