Charred Sugar Snaps with Sesame-Chili Sauce

Serves 4 

Ingredients:
2 T toasted sesame oil
1 lb sugar snap peas, trimmed
¼ c scallions, chopped
2 T tamari or low sodium soy sauce
2 t chili-garlic sauce
2 t honey
1 t sesame seeds, toasted

Procedure:
1. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add peas & cook until slightly charred, about 2 mins. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until charred on all sides, 3 to 4 mins more.
2. Add scallions & cook for 1 min. Add tamari, chili-garlic sauce & honey & cook, stirring until the peas are glazed, about 1 min.
3. Serve sprinkled with sesame seeds.
